MATTHEW CHAPTER FIFTEEN QUESTIONS
  1. Matthew 15:1-9. What wrong were Jesus' disciples accused of Doing? What had they done? Who med the accusation?
  2. What was Jesus' reply to the accusation?
  3. Do you/we ever think that what our church or denomination tells us has more authority than the Word of God?
  4. Do you/we get offended when someone points out that what we are doing because it is part of our tradition is not what the Bible teaches?
  5. Do you ever find yourself being hypocritical in your worship? How can we keep ourselves from being hypocritical? 
  6. Are traditions always bad or wrong?
  7. Matthew 15:10-14. What did Jesus tell the crowd makes a person unclean?
  8. How was Jesus' response received by the Pharisees?
  9. How did Jesus tell His disciples to feel about or respond to those who don't accept the truth?
  10. Matthew 15:15-20. Did the disciples understand the parable?
  11. What was Jesus' response to Peter's request?
  12. What was the meaning of the parable?
  13. Matthew 15:21-28. Where did Jesus leave from and go to?
  14. Why do you thin Jesus went to a Gentile territory?
  15. What did the Canaanite woman call Jesus? What did she want from Jesus?
  16. How did Jesus respond to the woman?
  17. How did the disciples respond?
  18. Why hadn't Jesus responded to the Canaanite woman?
  19. Did the woman get offended and give up? How did the woman respond to Jesus' comment?
  20. What did Jesus say about the woman's faith and what did He do as result?
  21. How did the Canaanite woman show that she had grate faith?
  22. Can you think of another time when Jesus helped a Gentile? What did they have in common? (Matthew 8:5-13)
  23. If Jesus were to describe your faith, what might He say?
  24. Would you have been offended if Jesus or another person talked to you the way Jesus talked to the Canaanite woman?
  25. Matthew 15:29-31. It seems like no matter where Jesus goes what happens? What was the result tis time?
  26. When we minister to people, what should be our goal?
  27. What attitude do we often read that Jesus had when He saw a crowd of people coming to Him? How did He show it this time?
  28. How long had the people been with Jesus without eating? Could you have gone that long without eating?
  29. What was the first thought that came into the disciple's minds when Jesus mentioned He did not want to send the people away hungry?
  30. How much food was in the crowd this time? How many would it have to feed? 
  31. What did Jesus do to feed everyone?
  32. Was there any food left over?
  33. What id Jesus do after everyone was fed?

MATTHEW CHAPTER SIXTEEN QUESTIONS
  1. Matthew 16:1-4. Where did Jesus' testing/temptation come from in this passage of Scripture?
  2. What kind of testing was it? What was the goal of the testing?
  3. What was Jesus basically saying about the Pharisees and Sadducees in Matthew 16:2-3?
  4. Did Jesus give a sign? Why or why not?
  5. What did Jesus do after talking to the Pharisees and Sadducees?
  6. Matthew 16:5-12. What did Jesus tell His disciples to be careful about? What did they think Jesus meant?
  7. What had Jesus meant? Why didn't they get it right the first time?
  8. Do you ever find yourself being cauht up with the physical and temporal like the disciples were, forgetting where our real focus should be?
  9. Do you ever find that you have a short spiritual attention span and it's easy to lose sight of our spiritual vision?
  10. Have you allowed legalism or materialism to creep into your life causing you to be like the Pharisees or Sadducees?
  11. Matthew 16:13-20. Where did Jesus go with His disciples? Where is that? 
  12. What important question did Jesus ask His disciples? This was like the final examination for the disciples. 
  13. What answer did the disciples give Jesus? 
  14. What answer did Peter give? Who had revealed to Peter the right answer?
  15. As a result, what promise did Jesus give Simon, son of Jonah?
  16. Who is building the church and on what would Jesus built it?
  17. This is the first time Jesus uses the word church. What does it mean? What do we learn about the church from this passage?
  18. What did Jesus warn His disciples about? Why?
  19. Who do you say Jesus is?
  20. Matthew 16:21-28. From this time on, what will we be hearing a lot about from Jesus? What did Jesus need to do? Why was this plan so necessary?
  21. Which disciple responded to what Jesus said would happen to Him? What did he say?
  22. Do you ever hold on to your own ideas and insist on our own way when you don't understand something, instead of conforming to the Lord's ways and thoughts? Have you ever contradicted the Lord? What happens when we do that?
  23. What did Jesus tell Peter he was doing in speaking his own thoughts and ideas? 
  24. Have you ever become a prey for Satan's trap? How do we get ourselves trapped? How can we prevent that?
  25. What lesson can we learn from Matthew16:24-25?
  26. What does Jesus expect of us if we want to be His follower/disciple?
  27. What is the paradox in Matthew 16:26-26? What does Jesus mean?
  28. Are you willing to deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Christ 100%? What would that look like for you?
  29. In Matthew 16:27 we hear the first time about the second coming of Jesus. What do we learn about it?
  30. What do you think Matthew 16:28 means?
