MATTHEW CHAPTER SEVENTEEN QUESTIONS
  1. Matthew 17:1-8. What happened 6 days after Jesus said that some of thew would see the Son of Man Coming in His kingdom or royal splendor?
  2. What did Jesus, Moses, and Elijah talk about?
  3. What was Peter's response to what he just witnessed? 
  4. What happened while Peter was speaking?
  5. How did the three disciples respond?
  6. What was the difference between the disciple's responses to seeing Jesus' glory and hearing God's voice?
  7. What did the disciples experience after that?
  8. Why do you think Jesus took three of His disciples with Him up on the mountain to see His transfiguration?
  9. Can you even begin to imagine how you would respond if you saw Jesus' glory or heard God's voice audibly?
  10. Matthew 17:9-13. What command did Jesus give Peter, James, and John as they were coming down the mountain? Why do you think Jesus gave that command? 
  11. What question did the three disciples have for Jesus?
  12. What did the three disciples learn from Jesus' answer?
  13. Matthew 17:14-18. Who approached Jesus when He came down from the mountain? What did he want?
  14. How did Jesus respond to the request?
  15. Matthew 17:19-23. Why couldn't the disciples drive out the demon?
  16. What kind of faith did Jesus say was necessary to be able to do great things?
  17. Do you think unbelievers even now despair of help from believers because of our weakness, unfaithfulness and indifference and so they go the Lord directly? 
  18. What did Jesus tell the disciples again in Matthew 17:22-23? How did the respond? 
  19. Matthew 17:24-27. did Jesus pay taxes? why or why not?
  20. Do we need to pay taxes? What should be our attitude?

MATTHEW CHAPTER EIGHTEEN QUESTIONS
  1. MATTHEW 18:1-11 What question did the disciples ask Jesus? What was His answer?
  2. Do you think you have the qualities necessary for being considered great in the kingdom of heaven?
  3. What should we do to little children? Why? Give an example of how we can do that?
  4. What should we not do to little children? Why? 
  5. do you think Jesus is just talking about little children here, or could it also mean or be applied to others?
  6. What are some things that could cause a person to sin? 
  7. If you sense that you have caused a little one to sin, how do you make it right?
  8. If someone has caused you to sin, what can you do to become free?
  9. What is Jesus' solution to how to deal with a lifestyle of sin and causing others to sin? 
  10. Matthew 18:12-14. What do we see about the love of the shepherd here?
  11. How have you experienced the love of the shepherd?
  12. Matthew 18:15-17. What is the steps Jesus laid out for settling disputes between Christians? 
  13. Have you ever experienced or heard of these steps being practiced for settling disputes between two fellow believers?
  14. Matthew 18:18-20. What do we learn about prayer from these verses?
  15. Have you ever experienced a time when you prayed with someone else or a group of people that a sinning person in church will repent so their sins will be loosed form them or bound them in their sin because they refused to repent?
  16. Matthew 18:21-35. How many times did Peter think was enough to forgive a person? Why do you think Peter used that number?
  17. What did Jesus say about how many times we should forgive a person?
  18. Do we need to forgive a person if they haven't asked for forgiveness yet?
  19. What is the kingdom of heaven like in these verses?
  20. What lesson can we learn from this parable?
  21. Are there any people that you need to forgive but haven't yet? What happens if we don't?
