HE IS A NEW CREATION

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

He Is A New Creation

Those who accept God’s forgiveness and by faith yield their lives to Jesus are “born again” (John 3:3-8) and completely renewed from the inside out. Through the creative command of God (2 Corinthians 4:6), they are transformed spiritually. Through a personal relationship with Jesus, a believer becomes a new person (Galatians 6:15; Ephesians 2:10, 15; 4:24; Colossians 3:10), renewed in God’s image (with the ability to relate to Him and take on His character traits, (2 Corinthians 4:16; 1 Corinthians 15:49; Ephesians 4:24; Colossians 3:10). They become Christians. As new creations, Christians share His glory (2 Corinthians 3:18) with a renewed knowledge of God (Colossians 3:10) and a transformed way of thinking and behaving (Romans 12:2 that begins to reflect God’s holiness (moral purity, spiritual wholeness, separation, from evil and dedication to God’s purposes, Ephesians 4:24). As a new creation belonging to God, the Christian takes on a totally new existence in which God’s Spirit rules (Romans 8:14; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 2:10). All of this restores the believer to the purpose for which God originally created him or her.

SO THAT IT MAY BE BY GRACE

March 30- Start Your Day Right Devotion

Romans 4:16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring – not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.

So That It May Be By Grace

If spiritual salvation and a right relationship with God came by perfect obedience to God’s law, no one would be saved. But since it comes through faith by God’s grace, then all who turn to God for mercy can be saved. Mercy could be described as God keeping us from consequences and judgment we deserve. Grace could be described as God granting us favor and benefits, we do not deserve. God provided His grace through His Son, Jesus, who gave His life to pay the penalty for our offenses against God. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, God mercifully forgives sins and extends His grace through His Holy Spirit, whose power transforms believers’ lives and makes them God’s children. Christ’s followers continue to experience God’s grace through the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit, who gives them the desire and power to fulfill God’s purposes for their lives (John 3:16; 1 Corinthians 15:10; Philippians 2:13; 1 Timothy 1:15-16).

HAS GRANTED THE SON TO HAVE LIFE IN HIMSELF

John 5:26 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself.

Has Granted The Son To Have Life In Himself

Jesus Christ’s own nature is a source of eternal life; it is part of who He is (John 1:4). This means that to know Christ is to know real life. God has not given us the power to have eternal life – a personal and eternal relationship with God – on our own. We can experience this life as God desires only as we trust Christ and remain devoted to close companionship with Him (John 15:4, 6; Galatians 2:20).

HE BELIEVED … HE CREDITED IT TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS

3/27/2022

March 27 - Start Your Day Right Devotion

Picture
Genesis 15:6 Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness.

He Believed ... He Credited It To Him As Righteousness

For the first time in God’s Word, faith and righteousness are mentioned together.
  1. In the Old Testament, faith implied two things.
  1. “Trust in” or “reliance on”
  2. “Loyalty to” or “faithfulness.”  The word translated “believe” (Hebrew ‘aman) means to demonstrate trust by continually acting in obedient faith. Thus, true faith will prove itself through practical action. This was the kind of faith Abram had. He was devoted to God and proved it by obeying God and submitting to His plans.
  1. God saw in Abram’s heart an attitude of faith and credited, or accepted, it as righteousness. The term “righteousness “means being in a right relationship to God and His will (Genesis 6:9; Job 15:14-16). In addition, God made a covenant with Abram, promising protection, and reward (Genesis 15:7).
  2. Under the new covenant (God’s plan and promise to save people from sin through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ), receiving God’s blessing and having a right relationship with Him also require faith. This is a foundational truth in the New Testament (Romans 4:3; Galatians 3:6; James 2:23). Abraham is called the “father of all who believe” (Romans 4:11).

WHAT DOES THE LORD REQUIRE OF YOU?

3/26/2022

March 26 - Start Your Day Right Devotion

Picture
Micah 6:8 He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

What Does The Lord Require of You?

This passage is one of the great summary statements of the Bible. It gives the clearest and most complete picture of how God expects His people to conduct themselves. The verse gives a threefold definition of God’s standard of goodness and what our commitment to Him involves:
  1. We must act justly, which requires being fair and honest in our dealings with others (Matthew 7:12). Notice that it says we must “act justly.” This is significant because a person can claim to appreciate justice; but they speak falsely unless they are willing to take necessary action to make sure that others are treated justly.
  2. We must love mercy, which requires showing genuine active compassion and kindness to individuals in need. Notice that it says we must “love mercy.” This is significant because people can actually appear to do merciful things, but their actions are not true unless they really love people from their hearts.
  3. We must walk humbly with our God, which requires constant gratitude toward God, total reliance on Him and an undying respect for His purposes – following them every day (James 4:6-10; 1 Peter 5:5-6). Public worship is only a small part of our total commitment to Christ. A genuine love for the Lord must be shown by gracious actions toward others – particularly those in need.

    Book of Matthew Bible Study

    $20.00

I'm excited to announce the new bible study starting soon.

Tailspin Farms Life In Grace will be studying The Book of Matthew.

NOTE: THIS IS A DIGITAL DOWNLOAD ONLY AND DOES NOT INCLUDE A PHYSICAL COPY OF THE BIBLE STUDY.

    The Gospel of Matthew

he Word Gospel. The first book of the English Bible that most of us read from is the Gospel of Matthew. Matthew is the first of the four gospel writings, yet there is only one gospel about Jesus Christ and there are four different writers: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The word "Gospel" means "good news", and the good news is about Jesus Christ dying on the cross and then 3 days later conquering death and rising from the dead, offering salvation to all mankind, this is the Gospel.

I hope you that you'll participate in this 15-week series.

Matthew has 28 chapters. For the in-depth study the 154-page eBook will help with your study.

    Book of Micah Bible Study

    $14.00

Here at Tailspin Farms Life in Grace Bible Study series we are starting the book of MICAH!

The book of MICAH is from the Old Testament.

The book of Micah contains many warnings of doom and prophecies of hope.

In this study on Micah I hope to provide an overview and lessons we can learn from the book of Micah.

The prophet Micah was from the small town of Moresheth Gath in southern Judah, a productive agricultural area about 25 miles southwest of Jerusalem.

Like Amos, he came from the rural countryside, probably from a family of humble status. While the prophet Isaiah was in Jerusalem addressing the king and international affairs,

Micah was a country prophet who was deeply sensitive to the social issues that affected the small towns and villages throughout Judah.

I invite you to go through this Bible Study with me.

    Thank you,

    Margarita
