2 Chronicles 7:14 - - If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

THEN WILL I HEAR – FORGIVE – HEAL

When God’s four conditions for spiritual revival and restoration are met then God’s three-part promise of revival will be fulfilled.
  1. God will not be angry with His People, but instead He will listen to their desperate prayers (2 Chronicles 7:15). The first evidence of revival is that God begins to answer prayer (2 Chronicles 7:14-15) and responds with compassion toward His followers (Psalms 85:4-7; 102:1-2, 13; Jeremiah 33:3; Joel 2:12-13, 18-19).
  2. God will forgive His people and cleanse them spiritually. He will restore His favor, presence, peace, truth and power among them (Psalms 85:9-13; Jeremiah 33:7-8; Hosea 10:12; Joel 2:25; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18).
  3. God will heal and refresh His people spiritually. He will pour out the Holy Spirit in order to bring a spiritual awakening among His people and spiritual salvation among those who do not yet know Him (Psalms 51:12-13; Hosea 5:14-6:3, 11; Joel 2:28-32). He will refresh their land by again pouring out rain (physical favor and blessing).

PEACE OF GOD WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS

February 21-Start Your Day Right Devotion

Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

PEACE OF GOD WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS

God’s peace is the opposite of human anxiety. It comes when we call on God from hearts that are fully devoted to Christ and His Word (John 15:7). By committing our cares to God, we can determine not to worry about them because they are now His concern.
  1. This peace is an inner sense of calm and assurance delivered from Christ by the Holy Spirit within us (Romans 8:15-16). It is not based on emotions or circumstances, but on the solid foundation of our relationship with God. It involves a firm confidence that Jesus is near, and that God’s love will be active in our lives for our good (Romans 8:28, 32; Isaiah 26:3).
  2.  When we commit our troubles and concerns to God in prayer, His peace will stand guard at the door of our hearts and minds, preventing the cares, worries and heartaches of life from troubling our lives and robbing us of our hope in Christ (Philippians 4:6; Isaiah 26:3-4, 12: 34:1-7; Romans 8:35-39; 1 Peter 5:7).
  3. If fear and anxiety return, we can go to God in prayer with a thankful heart, and once again He will send His peace to guard our hearts. Under God’s “protective custody,” we will again feel safe and be able to rejoice in the Lord (Philippians 4:4).

WE OUGHT TO LAY DOWN OUR LIVES

1 John 3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

WE OUGHT TO LAY DOWN OUR LIVES

This does not necessarily mean a physical sacrifice of one’s life (although that may be required at times to save another person; John 15:13). Rather, it means that we should be willing to put aside our own rights, interests and concerns for the sake and benefit of others, particularly to show God’s love to them and bring them closer to Christ (Romans 12:10; 1 Corinthians 10:24; Philippians 2:3-5; 2:17).

AN UNWORTHY MANNER

7/31/2022

July 31 - Start Your Day Right Devotion

Picture
1 Corinthians 11:27 Therefore, whoever eats the bead or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.

An Unworthy Manner

The Greek anxious means “in an unworthy, improper or careless way.” It speaks of a self-centered and irreverent attitude.
  1. Because the Lord’s Supper took place at the beginning in connection with a Passover meal (Mark 14:13), the Corinthians continued to observe it along with a meal. It seemed that the same issue of divisions among church members that Paul deals with in the first part of the letter (1 Corinthians 1:10) was also an issue in these wrongly named “love feasts” (1 Corinthians 11:21). Some were overfilling themselves and leaving nothing for the poorer members of the congregation (1 Corinthians 11:22). This behavior was unworthy of being identified with Jesus. His loving sacrifice was to be the main reason for celebrating the Lord’s Supper. For this reason, Paul told them to wait for one another; that is, wait until they could let Christ’s love fill their hearts for each other. Then they could celebrate the Lord’s Supper in a worthy manner.
  2. To eat and drink in an unworthy manner is to participate at the Lord’s table with a careless and disrespectful spirit, without any desire to give up known sins. This is an abuse of God’s gracious gift of forgiveness, and it shows open disrespect for the sacrifice Christ made to provide that forgiveness. This is a terrible sin against the Lord – as if a person is crucifying Christ all over again – brining him or her under special judgment (1 Corinthians 11:29-32).
  3. If we come to the Lord’s Supper with known sin in our lives, we do not need to be filled with guilt or come under God’s judgement. That is because this occasion provides the opportunity to examine our lives (1 Corinthians 11:28), allowing Christ to expose any attitudes or actions that are not pleasing to Him. In this way, the Lord’s Supper can become a special way of receiving God’s grace and forgiveness, allowing us to celebrate Christ’s sacrifice and to participate at His table in a truly worthy manner.

KINGDOM THAT WILL NEVER BE DESTROYED

7/14/2022

July 14 - Start Your Day Right Devotion

Picture
Daniel 2:44-45 “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands – a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold to pieces.

Kingdom That Will Never Be Destroyed

In the dream, a rock cut out of the mountain – “not by human hands,” but supernaturally (Daniel 2:34) – struck the image on the feet. Not only were the feet destroyed, but the gold, silver, bronze, iron, and clay all turned to powder and blew away. That is significant for the following reasons:
  1. When Babylon gave way to the Medo-Persian alliance, that coalition remained part of the same image. The same was true of the Greek and Roman Empires and is still true of the modern nations that fill their place. All are part of the same world system. In fact, the world is still influenced by Babylonian astrology, Medo-Persian ethics, Greek art, and philosophy and both Roman law and the Roman idea that peace can be secured by military might. According to Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, the world system – with is ungodly ideals and values – will be completely destroyed so that Christ’s kingdom may be fully established.
  2. The rock became a kingdom that filled the whole earth (Daniel 2:35). This fifth kingdom is God’s eternal kingdom established by Jesus, the Messiah. Its authority will be over “the whole earth” (Daniel 2:35), and it will extend into the new heaven and new earth (Revelation 21:1). We can be sure that the present world order will not last forever and that God’s kingdom will endure for eternity (2 Peter 3:10-13).

SHADRACH, MESHACH, AND ABEDNEGO

March 13 - Start Your Day Right Devotion

Picture
Daniel 3:30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon.

Shadrach, Meshach, And Abednego

These three young men risked their lives to stay true to God. Their bold example brings shame to others who use peer pressure and the trends of their culture as an excuse for their worldly actions or lack of faith. God does not accept the faulty reasoning that we may do something simply because “everyone else is doing it.” We should pray and rely on God for the strength to face whatever trials or temptations come our way. If you are willing to stay true to God and His Word, He promises two things: He will be with you “when you walk through the fire” (Isaiah 43:2), and He will not allow you to face more than you can handle with His help (1 Corinthians 10:13).

GOD, WE SERVE IS ABLE TO SAVE US

3/11/2022

March 11 - Start Your Day Right Devotion

Picture
Daniel 3:17-18 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king. But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.

God, We Serve Is Able to Save Us

Being accused by these influential people (the astrologers) did not frighten these young men into compromising their faith. Neither did the king’s angry threats cause them to compromise their personal principles. Without hesitation, they boldly expressed their loyalty to the one true God. God had given them the strength to do the right thing, and they were completely confident that He would protect them (Psalms 46:1; 56:4). They also know that God’s judgment against sin and disobedience was far worse than anything people could do to them (Leviticus 26; Deuteronomy 28). They also know that God’s love and power to save them was grater than any power that man could provide to destroy them. Their faith was unconditional, no matter the outcome. Even if God did not rescue them in this particular situation, they refused to deny Him. Having faith does not mean we will always be spared from trouble. It takes more faith to stick with God through difficulty and danger than it does to escape the situation altogether. In a world that constantly pressures us to deny our faith and compromise our commitment to God, we must always remember that if we are ashamed of Him on earth, He will be ashamed of us on judgment day (Mark 8:38; Luke 9:26). But if we stand strong and boldly live for God in this life, He will stand with us both now and forever.

    Book of Micah Bible Study

    $14.00

Here at Tailspin Farms Life in Grace Bible Study series we are starting the book of MICAH!

The book of MICAH is from the Old Testament.

The book of Micah contains many warnings of doom and prophecies of hope.

In this study on Micah I hope to provide an overview and lessons we can learn from the book of Micah.

The prophet Micah was from the small town of Moresheth Gath in southern Judah, a productive agricultural area about 25 miles southwest of Jerusalem.

Like Amos, he came from the rural countryside, probably from a family of humble status. While the prophet Isaiah was in Jerusalem addressing the king and international affairs,

Micah was a country prophet who was deeply sensitive to the social issues that affected the small towns and villages throughout Judah.

Here at Tailspin Farms Life in Grace Bible Study series we are starting the book of HABAKKUK!

NOTE: THIS IS A DIGITAL DOWNLOAD ONLY AND DOES NOT INCLUDE A PHYSICAL COPY OF THE BIBLE STUDY.

Habakkuk is a minor prophet, and this book is unique from the other prophets in that instead of the prophet speaking God's Word to the people, it records Habakkuk's personal dialogue with God.

When I read this book, about a week ago, I felt that I needed to share HABAKKUK with you.

Let's be honest with each other we have all questioned God and perhaps His existence in our life.

There is so much evil and injustice that exists in the world, Does God Care?

Learn how the storms of life can become opportunities to activate your faith in Habakkuk.

Here at Tailspin Farms Life in Grace Bible Study series we are starting the book of ZEPHANIAH!

The book of ZEPHANIAH is from the Old Testament. It only has 3 chapters.

The book of Zephaniah contains Destruction and Salvation / The Day of the LORD

In this study on Zephaniah I hope to provide an overview and lessons we can learn from the book of Zephaniah.

Zephaniah, whose name means "the LORD hides," was a great-great-grandson of King Hezekiah of Judah and prophesied during the reign of Josiah (639-609B.C.), Judah's last godly ruler (Zephaniah 1:1). Zephaniah's reference to Jerusalem as "this place" (Zephaniah 1:4), as well as his detailed description of Jerusalem's landscape and its sins, supports the belief by scholars that he lived in this city.

Tailspin Farms Life in Grace Bible Study series on the book of Haggai!

NOTE: THIS IS A DIGITAL DOWNLOAD ONLY AND DOES NOT INCLUDE A PHYSICAL COPY OF THE BIBLE STUDY.

THEME / PURPOSE: Rebuilding the Temple: Obedience to God Brings the Strength of His Spirit.

Haggai is the first of three prophetic books in the Old Testament (Haggai, Zachariah and Malachi) written after many of God’s people had returned from exile throughout what was, at that time, the Persian Empire (based on narratives in Ezra and Nehemiah the initial return of exiles to Jerusalem)...

A book containing a message of trust, commitment, and work.

    It involves a practice of:

    • meditation
    • prayer
    • and offerings

that should be done on a day to day basis to fix God in the very center of our life in order to maintain that place of peace and rest.

A place that many of us venture out into the world to find, not realizing the work of the temple begins with us, inside.

    The Gospel of Matthew

he Word Gospel. The first book of the English Bible that most of us read from is the Gospel of Matthew. Matthew is the first of the four gospel writings, yet there is only one gospel about Jesus Christ and there are four different writers: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The word "Gospel" means "good news", and the good news is about Jesus Christ dying on the cross and then 3 days later conquering death and rising from the dead, offering salvation to all mankind, this is the Gospel.

I hope you that you'll participate in this 15-week series.

Matthew has 28 chapters. For the in-depth study the 154-page eBook will help with your study.
