Mark 11:25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.

When You Stand Praying ... Forgive

We must not deceive ourselves into thinking that we can maintain the proper kind of faith that brings answers to prayer if we secretly hold hatred, bitterness, or resentment in our hearts against anyone (Matthew 18:35).

RECEIVE A HUNDRED TIMES

April 20 - Start Your Day Right Devotion

Picture
Mark 10:29-30 “I tell you the truth,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brother, sisters, mothers, children, and fields – and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life.

Receive A Hundred Times

The rewards promised here are not to be understood in a literal way. This simply means that God never takes anything from His followers that He does not replace with something infinitely greater according to His purposes. The devoted follower of Christ who sacrifices for the Lord’s sake will experience the blessings and joy related to all the relationships listed here. The fact that these benefits will come with persecutions as well teaches that a life of discipleship (learning from and following Christ) is a combination of promise and persecution, blessing and suffering, grief, and glory. But “consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us” (Romans 8:18).

MEN’S HEARTS

MARCH 2 - START YOUR DAY RIGHT DEVOTION
Picture
Mark 7:20-23 He went on: “What comes out of a man is what makes him ‘unclean.’ For from within, out of men’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance, and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man ‘unclean.’”
MEN’S HEARTS
In this passage “makes … ‘unclean’” (Mark 7:20) means being spiritually corrupted in a way that separates a person from the life and purposes of God and ruins his or her relationship with Christ. Throughout God’s Word, the “heart” represents a person’s entire inner being, including the intellect, emotions, motives, desires and will. An impure heart will corrupt one’s thoughts, feelings, words, and actions (Proverbs 4:23; Matthew 12:34; 15:19). Those who follow Christ must live in a way that reflects a heart that is new and transformed – different from what is natural in the world – a heart that is new and transformed – different from what is natural in the world – a heart that is becoming more and more like Jesus (Luke 6:45).

LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD

OCTOBER 7 - START YOUR DAY RIGHT DEVOTION
Picture
Mark 12:30
Love the Lord your God
with all your heart and
with all your soul and
with all your mind and
with all your strength.
LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD
This passage contains a combination of all four aspects of the human personality mentioned in Deuteronomy 6:5 (heart, soul, strength) and Matthew 22:37 (heart, soul, mind). The primary thing God ask of anyone who truly believes in Christ and receives His spiritual salvation is a devoted love that is expressed with one’s entire being (Deuteronomy 6:5; Romans 13:9-10; 1 Corinthians 13).
  1. Loving God “with all your heart” means that He is the source and object of your greatest desires and passions; the core of your affections must be centered on Him. It means that you are completely faithful and devoted to God and that His purposes direct every area of your life. Loving God in this way requires a willingness to do anything for Him. Our love for God must be a life-directing love, inspired by His love for us – a love that caused Him to give His Son for our sake (John 3:16; Romans 8:32).
  2. Loving God “with all your soul” has to do with your deepest longings, emotions, and convictions, which must be focused on Christ and bring honor to Him (Mark 6:9-10, 33). The soul could be described as the core of who you are – the real you – meaning that your identity is completely one with that of Christ.
  3. Loving God “with all your mind” shows that serving Him is not just a matter of feelings or emotion. It is a deliberate act of your will. It means serving God with your intellect and seeking to please Him with thoughts, ideas and decisions based on His Word. Loving God with your mind requires doing what you know is right beyond how your feel or what rejection you might face from the world.
  4. Loving God “with all your strength” means that your best energies and efforts go into serving God and promoting His purposes (1 Corinthians 9:23). It also means that you are willing to persevere in your faith when circumstances are challenging or even physically exhausting. At times, loving God may involve tough choices and a willingness to share the pain of obedience as He did (Philippians 3:10). Our love is to be the kind of love expressed in Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 6:20; 10:31; 2 Corinthians 9:15; Ephesians 4:30; 5:1-2; Colossians 3:12-17.

DENY HIMSELF AND TAKE UP HIS CROSS

8/25/2021

AUGUST 25 - START YOUR DAY RIGHT DEVOTION
Picture
Mark 8:34
Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
DENY HIMSELF AND TAKE UP HIS CROSS
To deny self means to put aside our own selfish desires in order to follow Christ and serve His purposes, whatever the cost. The cross of Christ is a symbol of suffering (1 Peter 2:21; 4:13), death (Acts 10:39), shame (Hebrews 12:2), ridicule (Matthew 27:39), rejection (1 Peter 2:4) and self-denial (Matthew 16:24). A follower of Christ who takes up his or her cross is making a deliberate choice to deny his or her own selfish interest and way of life (Luke 14:26-27) and to boldly identify with Christ. That person’s own identity gets so connected with that of Jesus that the person’s own reputation cannot be separated from his or her relationship with Christ. This kind of identification with Christ Jesus requires a commitment in four areas of struggle and suffering for the sake of Christ:
  1. We struggle in a lifelong battle against sin (Romans 6; 1 Peter 4:1-2) and must willingly endure suffering by crucifying (putting to death, not feeding, becoming unresponsive to) our own sinful desires (Romans 6; 8:13; Galatians 2:20; 6:14; Titus 2:12; 1 Peter 2:11, 21-24).
  2. We struggle in a war against Satan and the demonic powers of evil and must be willing to suffer rejection and hardship in order to promote Christ’s purpose on earth (2 Corinthians 10:4-5; 6:7; Ephesians 6:12). In the process, we will experience spiritual opposition and hostility (2 Corinthians 6:3-7; 11:23-29; 1 Peter 5:8-10), and we will face the resistance and persecution as we stand against false teachers who corrupt the true message of Christ (Matthew 23:1-36; Galatians 1:9; Philippians 1:15-17).
  3. We suffer hatred and ridicule from the world (John 15:18-25; Hebrews 11:25-26) because of our devotion to Christ and His standards of truth and right (1 Corinthians 1:21-27). People will strongly oppose us because our example and testimony – which must be conveyed with love and humility – expose the evil of their beliefs, behaviors, and lifestyles (John 7:7)

THANKSGIVING AT MEALTIMES

JULY 28 - START YOUR DAY RIGHT DEVOTION
Picture
Mark 6:41
Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and boke the loaves. Then he gave them to his disciples to set before the people.
He also divided the two fish among them all.
THANKSGIVING AT MEALTIMES
Before eating, Christ thanked His heavenly Father for the food. Christians today ought to follow His example and give thanks at every meal as a means of recognizing God’s care and provision for us. This opportunity becomes as act of worship that honors God. (1 Samuel 9:13; Matthew 14:19; 15:36; 26:26; Romans 14:6; 1 Corinthians 10:31; 1 Timothy 4:4-5).

MAY 15 - START YOU DAY RIGHT DEVOTION
Picture
Mark 1:17
“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.”
COME, FOLLOW ME
The first and primary calling (appointed task, purpose) of anyone who would be disciples of Jesus is to be with Him (Mark 3:14) – to follow Him and to know Him personally (Philippians 3:8-10). In fact, the term “disciple” refers to a disciplined learner and follower. As a result of this relationship, Christ’s followers must learn to lead others into a devoted personal relationship with Jesus (Proverbs 11:30; Daniel 12:3; 1 Corinthians 9:22).

I'm excited to announce the new bible study starting soon.

Tailspin Farms Life In Grace will be studying The Book of Matthew.

    The Gospel of Matthew

he Word Gospel. The first book of the English Bible that most of us read from is the Gospel of Matthew. Matthew is the first of the four gospel writings, yet there is only one gospel about Jesus Christ and there are four different writers: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The word "Gospel" means "good news", and the good news is about Jesus Christ dying on the cross and then 3 days later conquering death and rising from the dead, offering salvation to all mankind, this is the Gospel.

I hope you that you'll participate in this 15-week series.

Matthew has 28 chapters. For the in-depth study the 154-page eBook will help with your study.

    Book of Micah Bible Study

    $14.00

Here at Tailspin Farms Life in Grace Bible Study series we are starting the book of MICAH!

The book of MICAH is from the Old Testament.

The book of Micah contains many warnings of doom and prophecies of hope.

In this study on Micah I hope to provide an overview and lessons we can learn from the book of Micah.

The prophet Micah was from the small town of Moresheth Gath in southern Judah, a productive agricultural area about 25 miles southwest of Jerusalem.

Like Amos, he came from the rural countryside, probably from a family of humble status. While the prophet Isaiah was in Jerusalem addressing the king and international affairs,

Micah was a country prophet who was deeply sensitive to the social issues that affected the small towns and villages throughout Judah.

I invite you to go through this Bible Study with me.

    Thank you,

    Margarita
