JUNE 30 - START YOUR DAY RIGHT DEVOTION  1 Corinthians13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. LOVE IS PATIENT This section describes love as an activity and a behavior, not just as an inner feeling, emotion, or motivation. The various aspects of love listed here characterize God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Every follower of Christ must aim to grow in this kind of love, so as to truly become more like Jesus (Matthew 22:39; Mark 12:30). BIBLE STUDY TOOLS I USE:

JUNE 29 - START YOUR DAY RIGHT DEVOTION  FAITH This righteousness from God comes to us only through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord – The Forgiver of sins and the Leader of life. This faith – which is the only condition God requires for salvation – is not simply an intellectual belief in God or acknowledgment of Jesus’ death for our sins. CHRIST, WHO IS YOUR LIFE Although a right basis of belief (2 Timothy 1:13-14) and a holy life (Colossians 3:5-17; John 14:15, 21) are an essential part of a spiritual life and an ongoing relationship with Christ, it is friendship with and love for Christ as a Person that must always be central (Romans 3:22). Notice that Paul mentions the believer’s personal unity, companionship, and interaction with Christ again and again throughout this letter (Colossians 1:27; 2:6-7, 10, 20; 3:1, 3-4). Blessings, Margarita & Stace June 27- Start Your Day Right Devotion (KJ) John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. HEARS & BELIEVESJesus describes those who have eternal life (who have a personal relationship with God and will live with Him forever) and who will not be condemned as “whoever hears…and believes.” The verbs “hears” (Greek akouon, form akouo) and “believes” (Greek pisteuoon, from pisteuoo) are present participles, which show ongoing action (“whoever is, or keeps on, hearing and believing”). This means that the “hearing” and “believing” are not acts of a single moment, but actions that must continue (John 1:12). To “hear” in Biblical terms suggests listening and responding; it means putting into practice what you learn. Christ affirms that having eternal life is conditional on a living and growing faith rather than on a momentary decision at some point in the past (John 1:12; 4:14). "Condemned" (Greek krisis) is used int the sense of being headed for eternal spiritual death. Christ's followers will not be condemned with the rest of the world (1 Corinthians 11:32). However, they will still be held accountable for their actions and judged according to their faithfulness with the opportunities and resources God gave them while on earth.
