WOMEN WILL BE SAVED THROUGH CHILDBEARING

SEPTEMBER 30 - START YOUR DAY RIGHT DEVOTION
Picture
1 Timothy 2:15
But women will be saved through childbearing – if they continue in faith, love, and holiness with propriety.
WOMEN WILL BE SAVED THROUGH CHILDBEARING
The primary condition of salvation is faith in Christ, and then to “continue in faith, love, and holiness with propriety.” This is true for all people – men and women alike. The reference to childbirth likely refers to women accepting their roles and activities assigned to them by their Creator.
  1. A woman of true feminine dignity is a godly wife and mother (in she has children). In general, a Christian wife and mother will experience no greater joy, honor, or fulfillment than when she gives birth to children (1 Timothy 5:14), loves them (Titus 2:4), raises them to honor God (1 Timothy 1:5; 3:14-15) and continues to be faithful to Christ personally (1 Timothy 2:15).
  2. This verse may also imply that we are saved through the most significant birth of all – the birth of Jesus Christ, who came into the world to give His life for us and bring us back into a right relationship with God. The honor and dignity of childbearing must be accepted and appreciated by the Christian because it was the childbearing of Mary that became the channel of salvation to the world (Genesis 3:15; Matthew 1:18-25).
  3. Those societies, cultures and churches that compromise or reject God’s purpose for women really diminish the importance of the Christian family, home, and motherhood. As a result, they will increasingly experience breakdown in their marriages, families, and societies (2 Timothy 3:3).
  4. The principle given by Paul concerning Christian wives and mothers is not intended to demean women who are not married or who are unable to have children. The faith, love and devotion of such women can be as great as those with a family. In fact, those who are unmarried can actually devote themselves more fully to God’s purposes (1 Corinthians 7:34).

A WIFE OF NOBLE CHARACTER

SEPTEMBER 29 - START YOUR DAY RIGHT DEVOTION

Proverbs 31:10-31
A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth for more than rubies.

A WIFE OF NOBLE CHARACTER

These verses describe an ideal wife and mother – a woman of extraordinary character. Her whole life is centered around honor and reverence of God (Proverbs 31:30), compassion for those in need (Proverbs 31:19-20) and faithfulness and love toward her family (Proverbs 31:27). This passage does not patronize (speak of as though they are inferior) women, and it certainly does not describe an individual with not determination or abilities. Instead, it considers a woman’s capabilities and responsibilities with extremely high respect and honor. This wife and mother works hard, accomplishes much and lives in balance with her independence and commitment to her family. As a result, her family gives her proper recognition and respect. All the ideals described here will probably not be fulfilled in any one woman. But each wife and / or mother can seek to serve God, her family and others with the abilities and material resources that God has given her (Ephesians 5:22; 1 Timothy 2:15).

HUSBANDS

SEPTMEBER 28 - START YOUR DAY RIGHR DEVOTION
Picture
1 Peter 3:7
Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

HUSBANDS

Peter mentions three things about which husbands should be concerned in their relationships with their wives.
  1. The husband must be considerate and understanding, always showing a self-sacrificing, Christlike love for his wife, as directed in God’s Word (Ephesians 5:21, 25-33; Colossians 3:19).
  2. The husband should treat his wife with respect as an equal heir of God’s gracious salvation and inheritance of eternal life. The husband must honor, provide for, and protect his wife according to the wife’s needs. “Weaker” probably refers to the woman’s physical strength, The husband must help his wife fulfill potential in relationship with God.
  3. A husband must take the lead in submitting his own interests and concerns for the good of his wife and family. He must praise and highly treasure his wife, giving her every reason to love and help him according to God’s purposes for their marriage and family (1 Peter 3:1-6; Ephesians 5:23).
  4. A husband must never abuse his wife or treat her improperly in any way – physically, emotionally, or spiritually. Peter teaches that a husband who fails to live with his wife in an understanding way and to give her proper honor as a child of God will damage his own relationship with God by creating a barrier between his prayers and God (Colossians 3:19).

BEAUTY – OF YOUR INNER SELF

9/27/2021

SEPTEMBER 27 - START YOUR DAY RIGHT DEVOTION
Picture
1 Peter 3:3-4
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment,
such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self,
the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit,
which is of great worth in God’s sight.

BEAUTY - OF YOUR INNER SELF

True feminine beauty is not dependent on outward appearance. Fine jewelry and fashionable clothes may impress others, but they do not impress God. In fact, if such things are given priority or taken to extremes, they can actually cause a person to defy God’s standard of modesty – both in the sense of humility and personal purity (1 Timothy 2:9).
  1. True beauty is a matter of inner loveliness and enduring charm of a “gentle and quiet spirit,” which is precious to God because it follows Jesus’ example (Matthew 11:29; 21:5).
  1. The adjective “gentle” describes a humble, unassuming character that always shows loving concern for others and puts aside selfish interests for the good of others (Matthew 5:5; 2 Corinthians 10:1; Galatians 5:23; Philippians 2:3, 5).
  2. The adjective “quiet” refers to an attitude or behavior that is not offensive or disruptive. That is to say, God wants outward behavior to reflect inner character, which is what matters most to Him.
  1. Christian wives must remain loyal to Christ and His Word and to their husbands and families. Such loyalty will be tested in a world governed by materialism, self-assertion, deductive fashions, obsession with sex and contempt for the values of home and family.

MALE NOR FEMALE

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave not free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

MALE NOR FEMALE

Paul removes all barriers to one’s spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ, including ethnic, racial, national, socio-economic and gender. All who are “in Christ” are equal heirs of “the gracious gift of life” (1 Peter 3:7), the promised Spirit (Galatians 3:14; 4:6) and spiritual renewal in God’s image (Colossians 3: 10-11). Although men and women are equal heirs in Christ, their God-assigned roles in marriage and their unique distinctions in other aspects of life and society remain unchanged (1 Peter 3:1-4; Ephesians 5:22-23; 1 Timothy 2:13, 15).

THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT

SEPTEMBER 25 - START YOUR DAY RIGHT DEVOTION

Romans 8:1-2 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.

THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT

The “law of the Spirit of life” is the life-regulating and life-motivating power of the Holy Spirit at work within the lives of Christians. The Holy Spirit comes into the lives of those who accept Christ’s forgiveness and yield themselves to Him, freeing them form the power of sin and from its end result of spiritual death (Romans 7:23). The law of the Spirit comes into full operation as Christians commit themselves to obey the Spirit (Romans 8:4-5, 13-14). They find a new power working within them, which enables them to overcome sin and temptation and to fulfill God’s purposes for their lives. “The law of sin and death” is the life-controlling and spiritually condemning power of sin, which enslaves people (Romans 7:14) and reduces them to a condition of spiritual misery and shame (Romans 7:24).

PUT MY LAW IN THEIR MINDS

Jeremiah 31:33 “This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time,” declares the LORD. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

PUT MY LAW IN THEIR MINDS

A distinctive feature of the new covenant is God’s gift of a new heart and transformed nature (inner spiritual character) to all who surrender their lives to Christ. This new heart is the result of the Holy Spirit’s life-transforming work in people’s lives, enabling them to respond to God and giving them a desire to love and obey Him (Ezekiel 11:19-20; 36:24-28; Hebrews 8:10). One sure way to know that we are spiritually saved and living by the new covenant is if we have a longing desire to please God and to live by the standards set in His Word (Romans 8:2-4).
