 Matthew 15:25-28 One of the primary characteristics of truly effective faith is perseverance, which could be defined as active patience - a "keep-trusting-while-you're-waiting" attitude -regardless of the circumstances. Christ will honor those who remain true to Him through great difficulty, even when He does not seem to answer or to care. The "dogs" Jesus referred to were house dogs or pets. The woman understood Jesus' implication about the family pet not having the same privileges as the children (Matthew 15:25-27). Jesus was actually testing her faith. Yet, she was willing to receive whatever Jesus would give her. Jesus rewarded her persistent faith by giving her everything she asked for (Luke 18:1-8; 1 Peter 1:7; Mark 7:27). In our , there are many changing seasons. We go from feeling joyful and close to the Lord, to grieving and feeling like He is distant. We wrestle with our doubts and questions, wondering if God even hears us or if He is even real. Our faith decreases when we look around us, not up to God and His purpose. No Christian goes through this life without feeling weak in their faith at times, but we all can take comfort in knowing our God is Jesus Christ-- He is with us in every season, whether good or bad. Let's Pray: We ask that You would create in us a deep hunger in our hearts to help us be students of scripture. The Australian Shepherd, often known simply as the "Aussie", is a medium-sized breed of dog that was, despite its name, developed on ranches in the United States of America during the 19th century as a general-purpose ranch and farm dog in the American West, where a tough, enduring, versatile stockdog with an honest work ethic was required.
We have two Aussies that are part of the family. Giggles and Tonka are siblings. Tonka is the one that will really helps me with moving the goats around. Giggles stands guard at the gate. She lets Tonka do all the leg work.
Then we have a Miniature Dachshund that’s the last of all our doxies. Worm is now 12 years old. He helps the two Aussies work the goats. He thinks he is as Giggles and Tonka. One thing is for sure he can sure get the goats moving.
The other day I needed to move some of the goats to a different pasture. I separated about 6 from the herd. Worm was the only one outside with me. Giggles and Tonka didn’t want to come out of the house because it was too hot. I think that day was close to 105 out.
I didn’t plan on moving goats when I went outside. It just so happen that the goats I wanted to move was up getting water. So Worm and I went to work.
We have it set up where you can run goats from one area to the next. We penned the six up and were starting to move them out to the big pasture when Stace came out with Giggles and Tonka. Of course Tonka started moving them faster than Worm. So, Worm just set down and let Tonka do all the work. The only problem was Worm didn’t stop the goats from going back to where we started. Worm just let all the goats go right by him. He didn’t keep his eye on the problem at hand.

The more I thought about Worm’s actions made me think about us as Christians taking our eyes off the Lord. When we stop looking to the Lord to guide us, we have just opened up our life for all kind of problems.
When you wake up, is your focus on God or does your daily life start out like mine? Distraction, after distraction, after distraction? In a constant rush and a narrow focus on everything that you need to accomplish today with a self-centered goal in mind?
God wants our focus solely on him.
But, our days are full of distractions. Money, clothes, decisions that need to be made immediately, our future, everything materialistic. Your life is a mess of decisions and things that need to get done. Think about what I just said and read Matthew 6:25-34

God tells you not to worry, yet common sense is in the middle blocking your focus. It keeps telling us that you need to think about this, you need to think about that, you need to make a decision now. Our nature is blocking our focus on God. Our common sense, left to our own Human Nature and without direction from God, is one of Satan’s biggest assets he has over your life.
Your common sense doesn’t allow us to put our focus solely on God because our nature is to fix everything yourself.

Yes, that’s the scientific version that God has given us to be able to understand.
But the hot and cold air had to come from somewhere. They had to mix in the right place, at the time, with the right cloud and fill to the exact amount needed to feed those plants.
Don’t think that happened by accident.
So if God is able to supply the needs for everything in this world, why don’t you think He can supply your needs?
Is it because you just aren’t listening? Maybe He hasn’t supplied your need yet, or maybe He has already and you didn’t notice.

God’s voice is subtle and hard to hear. The reason is because He wants you to focus on Him. If it was just a great big Audible Voice, that came down out of the heavens and spoke to you, why would you have to focus?
You would just hear. But, His voice is subtle and He speaks through your circumstances to teach as you focus searching for His direction (Isaiah 8:11-12).
By focusing on Him, You are asking God to speak to us. You have turned an ear to listen (Matthew 7:7-8).
Sometimes God makes difficult situations in your lives or doesn’t give you the answer that you seek, so you will turn your focus back to listening. He will talk to you through your emotions and feelings in our heart if you listen.
The more you listen to God the more you become in tune with God.
As you narrow your focus closer to Him, it becomes easier for us to listen to what He has to say. Our conscience begins to change as you grow your relationship with God and keeping your focus.
Become more directed to God, than with your human nature.
The key is to listen, then obey what is being told to you.
If you do not obey God’s direction, then you are undermining God. You challenge His decision with your own understanding, again placing yourself above God.(Deuteronomy 5:6-10).
Humanism, becoming your own god by stating God is not smart enough to decide what is best for me.
This is not; you decide the best direction by taking your own, a.k.a the Devil’s, advice, but the direction that God is giving you through the circumstances that He is allowing (1 Corinthians 10:13).
The key to being able to handle every situation that God gives us is to listen to His direction. Allow God to direct you through the circumstance in order to have the desired outcome that God wants. Sometimes that outcome is good and sometimes those outcomes are bad, but remember all outcomes are to the glory of God.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting LIFE."
God So Loved The World. This verse reveals the heart and purpose of God - the great truth that motivated His plan of salvation for human kind.
God's love is deep and wide enough to embrace all persons, "the world." (1 Timothy 2:3-4)
God "gave" His Son (who also gave Himself willingly. John 10: 17-18) as an offering to pay the price of the sin (offenses and rebellion against God) of all humanity. This act was one of complete, undeserved love. God did not have to provide this sacrifice for us; it was not something forced upon Him (Romans 8:32)

God "gave" His Son (who also gave Himself willingly. John 10: 17-18) as an offering to pay the price of the sin (offenses and rebellion against God) of all humanity. To believe (Greek pisteuo) includes three main elements:
(a) a faith and confidence that Jesus Christ is God's Son and the only Savior for spiritually lost humanity;
(b) an act of surrender that turns over to Christ the leadership of one's life and an attitude of submission that continues to obey Christ (John 1:1-10)
(c) the trust and assurance that Christ is both able and willing to complete a person's salvation by bringing him or her to live with Him forever in heaven. Keep in mind that to "believe" in the true Biblical sense is not just a mental exercise; it is an active trust that surrenders the leadership of one's life to Christ. Real faith continues to show trust through selfless action, obedience and service (James 2:14-16)

"Perish" is a term in John3:16 that can be easily overlooked in the context of the wonderful gift of grace God offers. It is the tragic consequence of rejecting God (not believing in Him, not surrendering our lives to His leadership, not accepting His gifts of forgiveness and eternal life). To perish does not point to physical death but to the dreadful reality of spiritual death (permanent separation from God) and eternal punishment (Matthew 10:28) "eternal life" is God's gift to those who accept Christ's sacrifice and forgiveness for sins and become "born again" spiritually. It is not something that can be earned by good works or personal effort; is a gift that be received. "Eternal" is more than simply living forever; it is a quality of existence that begins even in this life - it is the opportunity to know God now (John 17:3) It is a life that frees us from the power of sin and Satan and allows us to live spiritually beyond earthly things in order to develop an eternal relationship with God. (John 8:34-36)
John 3:16 Prayer
Thank you God for your amazing love, thank you for giving your only Son, for opening up a way of reconciliation through his death on the cross.
Thank you that we can be forgiven, no more in condemnation, free to worship you wholeheartedly and to live fruitful lives that honor you.
Thank you for turning my night into day, and thank you for teaching me how to pray. Thank you for your promise of eternal life to those who commit their lives to you.
Lord, make me a channel of your grace through my prayers, words and deeds.

Want to Gain Access to Heaven knowing for sure? Well, you have made the right choice in searching for answers in how you will spend eternity. You are here for a reason, not by chance. We all have the desire to fill the void you may be trying to fill. The missing piece to your life that you just can not seem to get to go away.
You Are a Sinner and Must Be Born Again.
My friend, the first step is to realize you are a sinner and condemned to death. (Romans 3:23; 6:23)
So you may be asking at this point "what do I need to do?"
The answer is simple. Believe in Jesus Christ and believe that He bore your sins on the cross with His blood shed, died, was buried and was resurrected to wash away the sins of the world. Your sins were forgiven. Paul told the jailer in Philippians when he asked; (Acts 16:30-31).
It really is that simple. A mind shift, realizing your a sinner and repenting of your sins. (Romans 10:13)
So you may be asking at this point "what do I need to do?"
The answer is simple. Believe in Jesus Christ and believe that He bore your sins on the cross with His blood shed, died, was buried and was resurrected to wash away the sins of the world. Your sins were forgiven. Paul told the jailer in Philippians when he asked; (Acts 16:30-31).

It's easy friend, repent TODAY. Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, as you are reading this, stop what you are doing right not and if you are ready to be saved? Then just say this prayer:
"Oh, God, I know I am a sinner: I believe Jesus was my substitute when he died on the Cross for me. I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me. I now receive Him as my Savior. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of salvation and everlasting life, because of Your merciful grace. Amen."
If you said this prayer in faith and believe by faith then Jesus has saved you by God's Grace. Now that you are part of the family of God there are 3 things you will want to do daily to find out more what God has stored for you in life.

3 Daily actions to Begin.
Pray - Talking to God. Yes God want to talk to you. He desires communication with you and now that you are a child of God it opens up the conversation to Him. Do not get overwhelmed with this at the beginning. I will help you with this in future posts but for now, just bow your head and talk to God (Here is a GREAT book that helped me understand prayer better - check here for the current price on Amazon).
Read your Bible - This is how God talks to you. If you do not have one, get one really soon (here is the one I use- click here check amazon for current price). God has written His words in the Bible and the Bible is ever changing. This statement will not make sense now but will once you start reading. This is how God speaks to you and will show you things each and everyday. You can read the same verses before but it may mean something else to you or you may see something in the verse you have never seen in the past. Again, do not get stuck on this right now. Just begin reading your Bible.
Witness - You doing the talking for God. This sounds scarier than it actually is. What "witness" means is just tell others what happened to you when you made the decision to get saved. Tell your story. Let God speak to people through your story and share where you are today with God's blessings.
We have only scratched the surface on your journey as a Christian.
