AUGUST 8 - START YOUR DAY RIGHT DEVOTION  James 5 :11 As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy. JOB'S PERSEVERANCEThe word “perseverance” (Greek hupomone) carries the meaning of a persistent, active patience. It is not a passive endurance; it is a work-while-you-wait lifestyle that reflects an active faith in whatever trials we may face without losing our hope and trust in God. Perseverance is often developed through faith that triumphs through sufferings (Job 13:15). The outcome of the Lord’s dealings with Job reveals that in all Job’s troubles, God cared deeply about him and preserved his life and hope. James wants us to know that God is concerned about all of His people and that, in their suffering, He will sustain them in love, and compassionate mercy (Job 6:4; 42:10). BIBLE STUDY TOOLS I USE:
