OVERCOME THE WORLD, EVEN OUR FAITH

​The faith that allows God’s people to overcome the world’s corrupt influences and its fierce opposition to God’s people is a faith that looks beyond natural appearances and sees eternal realities (Hebrews 11:1). It is a faith that experiences God’s power and loves Christ to such an extent that the world’s sinful pleasures, misguided values, ungodly ways, and selfish materialism lose their appeal. Instead, we are repulsed by these things and grieved at the destruction that sin and worldly ideals cause in people’s lives (Revelation 2:7).
