(KJ) Ezekiel 13:10 Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and lo, others daubed it with untampered mortar:

WHEN THERE IS NO PEACE

The false prophets gave the rebellious people a false sense of security by proclaiming peace and salvation. For this, God would cut these deceivers off from the nation of Israel and from His salvation. 
  1. Today there are false leaders in the church who teach that a person can live a life of sin and yet still be a true believer and have eternal life with Christ. 
  2. The apostle Paul (a pioneer missionary who started many New Testament churches and wrote many of the New Testament letters, or books) states that believers must not be deceived by such lying words (Ephesians 5:6) because those who do such things will not inherit - or have a place in - God's kingdom (1 Corinthians 6:9; Galatians 5:21; Ephesians 5:5).

June 27-Start Your Day Right Devotion

Ezekiel 37:12-14 Therefore, prophesy and say to them: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: O my people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.'"

THE LAND OF ISRAEL

The vision of the revived bones would be fulfilled at the time of Israel's restoration, physically and spiritually (Ezekiel 37:10). This restoration was partially fulfilled when Cyrus of Persia allowed exiles to return to Jerusalem (Ezra 1), but it will be fully realized only when God gathers the Israelites to their land in the end time and a great spiritual revival occurs. during this time, many Jews will believe in and accept Jesus Christ as their Messiah (Romans 11:15, 25-26). This will happen before Christ returns to establish His millennial kingdom, when He will reign on earth in peace for a thousand years at the end of time as we know it (Revelation 20).

October 20-Start Your Day Right Devotion

Ezekiel 11:19-20 I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.

A NEW SPIRIT IN THEM

​This outpouring was initially fulfilled at the time of Jesus’ resurrection and on the day of Pentecost (when Jesus first sent the Spirit to empower His followers to spread His message, Acts 2:4; Joel 2;28-29). Ezekiel prophesied that the people would be empowered by the Holy Spirit to live by God’s laws and purposes. God’s Holy Spirit, with all His spiritual gifts and activity, is available today to all who put their trust in Jesus Christ.

July 13 - Start Your Day Right Devotion

Ezekiel 21:26-27 This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Take off the turban, remove the crown. It will not be as it was: The lowly will be exalted, and the exalted will be brought low. A ruin! A ruin! I will make it a ruin! It will not be restored until he comes to whom it rightfully belongs; to him I will give it.

UNTIL HE COMES

Ezekiel prophesies that though David’s family line would continue, there would not be another king from that line until the Messiah (the “Anointed One,” Christ) came to establish His kingdom (Genesis 49:10; Zechariah 9:9; Matthew 21:1-11; Revelation 19:11-16; 20:4). Jesus Christ, the Messiah, will still rule over Israel.

Ezekiel 28:12 “Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyr and say to him: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: “’You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.

KING OF TYRE

​There is a suggestion in this portion of Ezekiel’s prophecy that Satan himself, working his evil through this leader, is the true ruler of Tyre and the god of this world (1 John 5:19), The king is described as having been a visitor to the Garden of Eden (Ezekiel 28:13), a “guardian cherub,” or angel (Ezekiel 28:14), and a blameless creature in all his ways. This was true until wickedness was found in him (Ezekiel 28:17), he was driven out from the mount of God and thrown down to earth (Ezekiel 28:16-17; Isaiah 14:13-15).

SEPTEMBER 23 - START YOUR DAY RIGHT DEVOTION

​Ezekiel 34:25 I will make a covenant of peace with them and rid the land of wild beasts so that they may live in the desert and sleep in the forests in safety.

A COVENANT OF PEACE 

​The shepherd (Christ) will finally restore the peace and perfection that characterized life before sin entered the world (Genesis 1-3). This covenant, also called the “new covenant” (Jeremiah 31:31-34), will reach its highest fulfillment when God establishes His eternal kingdom in the new heaven and the new earth (Revelation 21-22). Then there will be “showers of blessing” (Ezekiel 34:26) and the full presence of God among His people (Ezekiel 34:30).
