Revelation 12:6 The woman fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.

​THE WOMAN FLED

​Here the woman refers to God’s faithful people of Israel who are persecuted during the last half of the tribulation (the 1,260 days, precisely half of the length of the tribulation period).

1. During the tribulation, the faithful of Israel are God-fearing Jews, who oppose the religion of the antichrist. Sincerely searching the Scriptures, they accept the truth about Jesus Christ as the Messiah (the Savior, Christ; Deuteronomy 4:30-31; Zechariah 13:8-9). They receive God’s protection and help during the last three and a half years of the tribulation, and Stan will not be allowed to overcome them completely (Revelation 12:13-16).
2. Those from Israel who accept the religion of the antichrist and reject the truth of the Messiah as revealed in God’s Word will be subject to God’s judgment and destruction during the great tribulation (Ezekiel 11:17-21; 20:34-38; Zechariah 13:8-9).
