HAVING SALVATIONThe coming of the King (Christ's first coming to earth) would be a great cause for rejoicing, not because of His royal splendor or conquering power, but because of His humility (Philippians 2:5-8). This passage refers to Jesus" "triumphal entry" into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1-5), riding on a donkey. By entering into the holy city in this way, Jesus fulfilled prophecy and showed Himself to be the true Messiah and Savior, ready to go to the cross and give His life for our sins.
