Psalms 41:1
Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the LORD delivers him in times of trouble. 

  BLESSED IS HE WHO HAS REGARD FOR THE WEAK 

God has a special concern for the weak and helpless, and He blesses those who show love and kindness to the needy. Verse 1-3 give a fuller picture of the principle found in Matthew 5:7, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy”. As we share God’s compassion for those in need, we can pray with confidence that God will help and rescue us when we are in trouble (Verse 1), protect us from harm (verse 2), bless our lives (verse2) destroy the power of Satan and our enemies (Verse 2 ) and care for and heal us when we are sick (Verse 3; 72:2, 4, 12; Deuteronomy 15:7-11; Proverbs 29:14: Isaiah 11:4; Jeremiah 22:16; Matthew 6:30).
