(KJ) Hebrews 10:37-38For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

MY RIGHTEOUS ONE WILL LIVE BY FAITH HEBREWS 10:38

This foundational principle affirmed four times in God's Word (Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38), guides and directs our relationship with God and our participation in the salvation provided through Jesus Christ. 

1. The person who continues to rely on God, take Him at His Word and follow Him faithfully through all circumstances will receive what God promises (Hebrews 11:36) and will be saved eternally (Hebrews 11:39). Such people are not afraid to approach God with sincere hearts (Hebrews 11:22). 
2. But God adds, "If [anyone] shrinks back [in unbelief], I will not be pleased with him" (Hebrews 11:38). The person who "shrinks back" is one who stops relying on God and abandons his or her faith by deliberately and continually sinning against God (defying Him and His standards). Such a person is headed for spiritual destruction (Hebrews 11:39), just as the Israelites in the desert (Hebrews 3:12-19).
