NOVEMBER 1 - START YOUR DAY RIGHT DEVOTION

Psalms 25:12 Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him.

HE WILL INSTUCT HIM

The main theme of this psalm is how God in His wisdom guides His faithful followers. Note the following truths:

God has a plan for every individual. He had a plan for Adam (Genesis 1:28; 2:18-25), Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3), Joseph (Genesis 45:4-9) and His people, Israel (Genesis 50: 24; Exodus 6:6-8); He had a plan for Jesus (Luke 18:31) and Paul (Acts 21:10-14; 22:14-15; 26:16-19). God has a definite plan for each person (1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 1:10; 2:10; 3:11; 4:11-13).
God’s plans can be communicated to us by unique means, such as dreams, visions, and prophecy (Acts 2:17; 9:12; 10:3; 13:2; 21:10; 1 Corinthians 14:1). However, the usual way He guides us and gives us wisdom is through His Word (2 Timothy 3:16) and through the Holy Spirit living within us (Acts 8:29; 10:19; 13:2; 15:28; 16:6; 1 John 2:20, 27).
We can miss God’s plan if we ignore, reject, or misuse His Word. Doing any of these things leads us to decisions to go against God’s plans and desires for us.
Righteousness (doing what God says is right, doing it for the right reasons and staying in a right relationship with God) is most important if we are seeking God’s guidance (Psalms 25:21; Romans 8:11-14) because God wants to guide us “in paths of righteousness” (Psalms 23:3)
